A Post Card from John Bull - In New York

Feedback from one of our valued supporters and long time Bulls tipper!!

I was at Yankee Stadium and saw the Red Sox and Yankees play Thurs aug 28 - the Yankees won 3-2.

Giambi hit a 408yd line drive over center field in the 6th and with a runner on 2nd. (Wonder if he was wearing his "golden thong"? Golden thong details here. - Ed)

In the 9th (score 2-2) and a man on 2nd, the Sox brought in Pappelbon to pitch to Giambi - Pappelbon ran all the way in from center field and all Bronx fans (5800 of them ) booed him - what an incredible atmosphere and sight. But with 2 out and a 3-2 pitch to Giambi = Giambi hit a single over 2nd to win for New York. Needless to say the fans went wild - it took us 2 hours to reach the subway for Manhattan. Quite a few Red Sox fans were there because of the possibllity of the Sox never again to play at the "ole" Stadium - it definitely was the last game the Sox played because the Yankees will not get into the finals except for a bloody miracle.

The US Open Tennis next to the Old and the new Shea stadiums was also an exciting - enjoyable atmosphere.

I'll close now and will be in touch. Do say hello to all the Bulls.
