Umpiring at The bulls
Are you interested in learning how to umpire baseball?
Have you umpired as a club or teeball umpire and enjoyed it?Then the Bulls is a fantastic environment to learn how to umpire.
The social nature of Bulls Baseball ensures the Bulls as a 'safe' environment for umpires to learn their craft.
All training is performed by and under the experienced guidance of accredited BUASA (Baseball Umpires Association of South Australia) Umpires, in a freindly environment.
Many Bulls umpires have progressed to become an accredited Australian Umpire, umpiring at the highest levels of baseball.
- 10 reasons to become a Baseball Umpire
- The challenge and enjoyment of controlling an exciting baseball game.
- The opportunities to umpire at club, state, national and even the international level.
- The camaraderie within the umpiring fraternity.
- The chance to supplement your income whilst pursuing a hobby.
- Baseball SA's introduction of the "Green Shirt" program that identifies and protects less experienced umpires.
- Strong support from the Board of Baseball SA.
- A "mandatory sentencing" model that supports umpire's decisions, and reduces tribunal attendance requirements.
- The chance to work towards elite level umpiring opportunities that you may not have reached as a player. Several Australians have umpired at The Olympic Games, major international events and in the MLB.
- To play a key role in the future of the great sport of baseball. For further information contact:

How to use "Shocka Bull" - our Defribulator
Thanks to the Matt "Wild Bull" Cutting Trust, The Bulls purchased a defibrillator "Shocka Bull" in 2019, now permanently located at Bull Park.
Located at the entrance from the clubrooms to the grounds, Shocka Bull is easily accessible for spectators, coaches, and players in case CPR is required.
In today’s world, more people are familiar with how to use a defibrillator however to ensure "The Herd" feels confident using Shocka Bull, we offer regular training sessions on how to operate the defibrillator effectively.
